Cassandra’s prophecy is an easy going shawl, fast to knit, cozy and yet feminine. The main body is knitted in garter stitch and the lace border is based on a simple 20 stitch pattern repeat. The pattern has been test knitted.

Finished measurements: length 132 cm, width 37 cm (after blocking)
Materials:
Color A: 2 skeins Lammy yarns, Superwash 4 740, dark purple (100% wool, 125 meters)
Color B: 2 Skeins King Cole Merino 773, light purple (100% wool, 123 yards/112 meters)
1 pair straight knitting needles, no 4,5
1 circular needle, no 5
stitch markers
crochet hook no 4
tapestry needle

Gauge: with straight needles no 4,5, 16 stitches X 28 rows = 10 cm on garter stitch. (The gauge isn’t really that important; just make sure you will not end up with a very small shawl, by choosing a dk or a fingering weight yarn and the right needles to go with).

You can change the length or width of your shawl by just using a different type of yarn and needle number.

The pattern contains only charted instructions.
