This is a pattern for a loom knit casserole carrier. Casserole cover is done in an elegant box stitch and is double knit creating a thick, beautiful weave. Wooden Spoon handles add a special “kitchen themed” touch to this carrier. Once loom knit, this casserole carrier will make an excellent addition to any cooks kitchen! Make as a gift or for yourself! Casserole carrier fits a standard Pyrex style rectangular pan measuring 13” x 9” x 2”. Pattern uses the long Blue Knifty Knitter Loom, 62 peg, with 11/16 peg spacing or equivalent. This pattern is suitable for the beginner+ loom knitter who is familiar with long looms and double knitting. All steps are explained and a Glossary of terms is included with this pattern. Pattern Note: Yarn will have to be changed from acrylic to a natural fiber like cotton if you plan to carry hot items!
