This pattern is available for free

“Caster” are knitted fingerless mittens worked on double pointed needles (US 8). The thumb is created with short rows so there is no need for a stitch holder or waste yarn. Only one skein of Lush is needed for both sizes.

This pattern was used in a class I taught at Fresh Purls and many of the students had not worked with DPN’s before yet were able to create beautiful hand warmers.
