This shawl is worked from the center, out to the border. The pattern increases every 4th row through the cable and lace pattern. The stitch pattern then changes to a ribbing pattern that grows gradually wider before ending in a simple beaded garter lace edging.

The beads are optional but give the edge of the shawl a little bit of weight that allows it to hang particularly nicely. If the beads are not being used, replace the beaded stitches with knit stitches.

This pattern has both charted and written-out instructions.
