For all cats in love and everyone in love with cats: A cowl worked in the double knitting technique with a cute cats and hearts motif. The technique makes the cowl reversible and adds extra warmth.

Double-knit fabric is comprised of two layers of fabric worked simultaneously. It is worked in pairs of stitches, for each knit stitch worked on one side, a purl stitch is worked next for the other side. This technique creates a thick fabric, which seems to have two right sides, because the wrong sides are facing each other in the middle of the fabric.

Knitters can choose to work the motifs from the chart or the full written instructions for each motif.

The cowl is knit in the round, the number of stitches cast on determines the circumference of the cowl. Since there is no shaping, the project is a great project for knitters who try double knitting for the first time.

Circumference approximately 135 cm (53”); 18 cm (7”) high. Circumference is adjustable in increments of 27 cm (10.5”) only (the width of the cat motif; explained in notes in the pattern).
