Simple but elegant, Catalina is a triangle worked from the bottom up with an easy lace pattern along two edges. The yarn adds a touch of luxury and softness to this large shawl.
Can easily be made larger or smaller - see notes below and on page 2 of the pattern.

This pattern was first published as the Summer Sun shawl (yellow photo) in Simply Knitting issue 200.

Materials:
Manos Del Uruguay Fino
(4ply; 70% merino wool/30% silk; 450m/490yds per 100g skein) x 2 skeins. Shown in shade: SF432 Admiral
4mm (UK8/US 6) knitting needles (80cm/32in circular needles recommended)

Exact tension is not essential but a difference in tension may affect the final size and amount of yarn used.

This shawl can easily be made larger or smaller. After any full repeat of Chart C, work the Garter Stitch rows and cast off.
