Catching Katniss was inspired by the Hunger Games: Catching Fire movie. The delicate lace edging of the shawl represents the flames that turn into the stunning Mockingjay gown that Katniss wears. This effortless shawl begins with an easy lace border, followed by a garter stitch body that is worked in short rows. It’s a perfect take to the beach or road trip knitting project! If you have never knitted a shawl, this would be a perfect one to begin with.

This deceptively easy to knit shawl begins with a delicate lace edging worked from the bottom up. The body is worked in garter stitch short rows.

Shown in Indieway Yarns First String-Plus Ring of Fire colorway.
