This cats and lace shawlette combines a garter stitch triangle with a colorwork cats and lace edging. It is a fun knit and a great project for kitty lovers. The instructions are written, colorwork and lace edging is both charted and written.

Technical aspects:

Difficulty: intermediate.

Techniques: knit/purl flat, stranded colorwork, lace.

Size blocked: Width: 55” (140 cm) - Depth at point of triangle: 24” (61 cm).

Yarn: Any fingering weight yarn (sports weight yarn will work fine too for a warmer shawl) - 600 yards in main color, less than 100 yards of contrasting color.

Gauge: 16 stitches x 24 rows = 4” in garter stitch (blocked).

Tools: Size US 8 / 5 mm 29” or 32” circular needle; tapestry needle; scissors; 4 stitch markers.
