The name of the hat is CCC which is short for the Civilian Conservation Corps. The CCC was an effort to both provide employment and recreation during the Great Depression. They logged, fought fires, and built campgrounds. The bottom of the hat represents the decay of the roaring 20s while the top comes together in an attempt create order. The photos of this hat were taken at Zigzag Ranger Station, a former CCC camp, on the way to Mount Hood in Oregon.

The sample used less than 50 grams of each color.
