Celestina
This small shawl is worked from the ribbed hem inward. The ribbing continues through the center spine as the lace mesh angles in on each side. The shawl’s unusual shape is due to a dramatic rate of decrease, and it can be worked at the same gauge in either fingering or sport weight yarn. The fingering weight shawl is softer with more drape, while the sport weight shawl is warmer, thicker and slightly smaller (although finished size can be controlled somewhat during blocking).
This pattern has fully written and charted directions; and has been tech edited by Kate Atherly.
