I’d promised to make my daughter a special party shawl and when I stumbled upon Sirdar Moonstone with its glamorous, glittery beads I knew it would be perfect.
I chose ‘Bear’s Paw’s Stitch’ with its Art Deco looking roundels to do the yarn justice and worked the shawl in two identical pieces, which I seamed to form circles at the join.
The shawl can be worn in different ways and the beads catch the light beautifully. Because I used the shade, Orb, in Sirdar Moonstone, I called the pattern ‘Celestra’ to reflect this heavenly marriage.
