Heart Cables, Whale’s Tails and no seaming!

The Whale’s Tail cable provides a slightly fluted edge to the ribbing (see second picture above).

The divisions for the 8 sections of the tam already begin in the ribbing; the Whale’s Tails cables later separate and form the cabled arch that frames each cabled heart; the peaks of the arches morph into rope cables which converge at the centre forming a miniature star configuration.

Instructions are both charted and written out, except for the ribbing which is written out only.

Notions
* 1 temporary stitch marker; tapestry needle
