This garment is knitted in Aran-weight yarn from the top down and features saddle shoulders and square armholes, Aran motifs and a deep skirt, as the traditional Aran ribbing is called. The cuffs fit loosely in keeping with the early Arans. The pattern has been updated to more user-friendly charts (June 2016).

Recommended for experienced knitters.

Featured Techniques:

  • Saddle shoulders
  • Longer length
  • A discussion of avoiding cable splay.
