This garment was knit out of the Creskeld Blue Face Leicester, but the Wensleydale would also work. It is knitted from the top down and features saddle shoulders and square armholes, Aran motifs and a deep skirt, as the traditional Aran ribbing is called. The cuffs fit loosely in keeping with the early Arans.

Recommended for experienced knitters.

Featured Techniques:

  • Saddle shoulders
  • Longer length
  • A discussion of avoiding cable splay.

Additional Needle Information US7(4.5mm) circular needles 16”/40cm & 32”/60cm are required.
