NOTE: This pattern available on my website and on Ravelry has been updated and, as far as I know, is error-free. The errata from Knitting Daily is no longer available.

This garment is knitted in Aran-weight yarn from the top down and features saddle shoulders and square armholes, Aran motifs, and a deep skirt, as the traditional Aran ribbing is called. The cuffs fit loosely in keeping with the early Arans. The pattern has been updated to more user-friendly charts (June 2016).

Recommended for experienced knitters.

Featured Techniques:

  • Saddle shoulders
  • Longer length
  • A discussion of avoiding cable splay.

Additional Needle Information US7(4.5mm) circular needles 16”/40cm & 32”/60cm are required.
