From Fiona Ellis Pattern Description: This design incorporates a cable reminiscent of Celtic patterns, in homage to the artists to who produced those exquisite manuscripts. As a way of making the project relevant in our contemporary world, I have juxtaposed the old with the new by selecting a style reminiscent of that modern-day classic, the hooded sweatshirt. The hood on this cardigan sweater also gives a nod to the hooded cloaks worn by monks. To reinforce the modern feel, I used denim colors so that the sweater could be worn with jeans.
