This was the Round 5 Bonus Pattern for Sock Madness 14.

You will need approximately 420 meters (459 yards) 4-ply sockyarn. I used almost a full 100 grams of Het Wolbeest Basis Sok 75% wool, 25% Nylon, 420 meters / 100 grams for my size M. For the sizes L and XL you probably will need need more than 100 grams. You can also use a contrasting colour to knit the cuff.

I love everything Celtic. I love the myths and stories, I love the Celtic knots and I love Aran knitting and off course I am of Celtic descent. I wanted the sock to be feminine as well. So, fine and delicate cablework was called for. It needed something special, something madness. I designed a delicate wrap-around cuff, to finish the whole ensemble. I really hope you like the design and that you will enjoy knitting your own pair of Celtic inspired socks.

The pattern is written for size M and adjustments for size L & XL are written in-between brackets. The charts are written for all 3 sizes as well.

Advanced sock knitters: In my opinion, any pattern should contain all of the information you need to knit that particular pattern. You should be able to knit the whole pattern without having to use the internet or being a walking knitting encyclopedia. As a result my patterns are quite extensive. Take what you need and skip the other bits.

At the moment the pattern is only availible in English. A Dutch version will be availible soon.
