Four-lobed knitted lace centerpiece, consisting of four circular floral motifs with a leaflike pattern joining them in the center. Details of construction are in Italian.

Provisionally I would describe the method like this: Each of the four floral motifs is worked from the center outward in six repeats; chart A for all six repeats has 55 rounds, then four of the repeats are finished with an edging design knitted back and forth, given in chart B, with 25 rounds. The remaining two repeats are held as live stitches until all four motifs are done, then joined together and knitted inward following chart C, with 75 rounds.
