Chadwick has been acting since he was a little larvae. His favorite playwright is the great William Shakespeare. Unfortunately most directors aren?t too excited about casting a caterpillar to be a part of a serious Shakespearean drama. Chadwick doesn?t understand the issue: he figures originally all the actors in Shakespearean plays were men, even the female roles. Because of this Chadwick feels that anyone, even caterpillars, should fit right in a Shakespearean play!
This caterpillar is the perfect kid knit, sized just right for little hands to grab. Chadwick is designed to showcase fun, self-striping sock yarns or to use up lots of scraps of yarn: the multi-colored sample uses just 45 yards or less of each color. Why not make Chadwick even more fun and add rattles, bells, squeakers, or crinkly paper to each segment to make a hand made baby discovery toy? No matter how you knit him, bet you can’t knit just one!

You can make Chadwick in any size yarn you like, just use needles 2-3 sizes smaller than recommended for the yarn. Additional images show versions using Chroma Fingering in Mesa (160 yards), Stroll Multi in Lucky Stripe(160 yards) and Shine Worsted in Clementine, Serrano, Blush, White, Black, Citrine, and Reef (35-45 yards each).
