Socks feature knotted cable pattern that adds a tassel-like effect at the outer edge of the knot. Designed to match the Chain and Double Cable Cardigan.

Skill Level: Experienced

Sock Length: Approx. 6.5” will fit women’s shoe size 6 (7). Work additional length as needed.

Materials:

  • Nature Spun Sportweight from Brown Sheep Company (100% wool; 1.75 oz / 50 g; 184 yds / 168 m) in color 105 Bougainvillea
  • 2 (2) skeins / 368 (368) yds.

Needles:

  • US 4 / 3.5 mm double-pointed needles
  • 2 cable needles

Designer’s note: The knotted cable is the first cable pattern I have come across that utilizes two cable needles. It could also be worked with one cable needle by slipping stitches from the cable needle back to the left-hand needle. I found it somewhat simpler and quicker to use two cable needles. It is fun to work and no more difficult than working with one cable needle.
