The Chain Ankle Socks are a fun and clever no show sock knitting pattern featuring a tabbed, hemmed cuff (created with short rows), a heel flap, and a standout faux cable stitch across the top.

The unique chain detail grows from 2 to 3 stitches with a yarn over and decreases back to 2 using a modified central double decrease (MCDD).

Knit top-down on 2.25mm DPNs in Hobbii Unicorn (affiliate link), these socks are perfect for sneaker season and quick gift knits.

A left-handed video tutorial for the special stitch (MCDD) is available on YouTube.
