This seamless dropped-shoulder pullover is worked from the top down.
This pullover begins with the provisional /invisible cast on for the
upper back. The back is worked straight in rows till the depth of the
sleeve is reached then the back stitches are placed on waste yarn
while the front is worked.
The front begins in two sections. The shoulder stitches are taken on
the needle and the neck stitches remain on the waste yarn. The
shoulder parts are worked separately in rows, then the neck edges
are increased toward each other and the front parts are joined
together. Then the front is worked straight in rows till the depth of
the sleeve is reached. Leave the front and back stitches on strings.
You have now a rectangle with a hole in the middle of it for the
neck.
From the side edges of the rectangle you will pick up stitches for
the sleeves. After te sleeves are done, the front and back are joined together and the body is worked down in rounds in one piece.
Finally, stitches are picked up around the neck for the neckband.
