Are you a fan of the Hellraiser movies? Then this horror/Halloween delight is just for you!

Chain links with dangling meat hooks are so versatile if I do say so myself! This construction can be used as a garland to drape across the mantel or worn around the neck as a spooktacular scarf! You can even hang a few chains and hooks from the roof of your haunted habitat! In addition to the myriad uses for this crochet-able, I found working up endless chain links interspersed with handfuls of meat hooks a satisfying and downright meditative experience. Nothing like throwing on your favorite horror movie and having a serious amount of chain completed when the credits roll!

Now here’s the pattern down and dirty…

  • Chain links are connect with the join-as-you-go method.
  • Finished meat hooks are added on with a join-as-you-go link to the overall chain.
  • Finished hooks are approximately 4.5” in length.
  • Finished chain links are approximately 1.5” in length.
  • This pattern also works up wonderfully in size 10 crochet thread with a 1.5 mm steel hook.
