This pattern is for a pair of ornately cabled socks. The cable itself is a Canadian cable that is just perfect for socks. I have added some faggotting to ensure a comfortable fit.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of knitting and purling, lace knitting and cabling).

The cable stitch is both charted and written out line by line.

This pattern is written for 2 circular needles and is written for sizes Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large, and is sized by gauge: note: if you are making L or XL, please adjust needles to accommodate larger needles.

The sock pictured here was made with Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock yarn, in colorway, Chico. A good Substitution yarn would be Fleece Artists Blue Nose Socks.

The socks were expertly tested by Leslie Shattes.
