“Farah Khan’s film ‘Main Hoon Na’ (’I’m Here Now’) features the lovely Miss Chandni, a chemistry teacher who causes the main character, Major Ram Sharma, to break into song whenever she passes by,” explains the designer. “The colourways are inspired by a stunning red sari with black embroidery that she wears in the film, as well as by her name, which means ‘moonlight’.” Matthews is a huge fan of Hindi cinema (AKA Bollywood); she draws inspiration for the colours and motifs of her knitted beaded cuffs from the movies she loves. A gorgeous cuff, with a chart as well as written-out instructions.
