I am consistently inspired by the nature that surrounds me in New Mexico. At first look, the landscape might seem sparse, but a closer look will reveal interconnections leading to a diverse and varied landscape. Chaparral is a desert plant whose root system connects to new plants to cover the desert. At first glance, this hat may look complex, but using only slip stitches are are able to create a hat that mirrors the interconnections of the Chaparral. Inspiration is all around us, but sometimes you need to look a bit deeper to find it.
