ERRATA: The pattern forgets to tell you when to switch from smaller to larger needles- you’ll want to do that as soon as the ribbing ends! The smaller needles are only for the ribbed section. Update forthcoming!

A shapely sweater with a curved hem that somehow both hides and highlights your…assets. The square neck requires minimal “shaping two things at the same time”-style attention, and the set-in sleeves are picked up and knit top-down with short-row shoulder shaping to avoid the dreaded set-in seaming. Bracelet-length sleeves leave room for jewelry (but of course can easily be shortened or lengthened to taste. Keep in mind that the model (coughthat’smecoughcough) has orangutan arms anyway.)

Char is part of the Knit it Black collection, and as such a portion of every sale is donated to an animal rescue charity that specializes in black pets (or other hard-to-rehome pet populations, such as special needs or seniors.) You can learn more about the project and the plight of black pets on the Knit it Black Kickstarter page.
