I developed this pattern for my puppy, Charlie, after he had his hair cut short in the winter. (His fur was very tangled… I am a bad puppy-mom!) He loves wearing it on walks. The ribbing makes the sweater easy to get on and off, and helps it to fit snugly.

Sizing: Charlie is about 15 lbs. This pattern can be used for small breeds such as Boston terriers, pugs, shih-tzus, etc. To use this pattern for a smaller breed, use a lighter weight yarn and a smaller needle size. The ribbing allows for flexible sizing. Also, the length can be adjusted by knitting more or less rounds in the body section.
