This is a new re-yarned version of my very popular Charlotte Lace Cowl. It knits up quickly, using a super-soft super-chunky yarn and larger needles. In no time at all, you’ll have a big cuddly cowl to keep you warm.

When you purchase this pattern, you’ll receive the original version, plus the addendum with instructions for this chunky version.

PATTERN NOTES
The easy-to-follow (and remember) stitch pattern consists of mostly knit and purl rows ~ you only need to really concentrate every few rows on some yarn overs and knit 2 togethers! The waviness happens almost without effort and is highlighted by purls every 8th row.

YARN
3 skeins of Debbie Bliss Paloma, 60% Baby Alpaca and 40% Merino Wool (213yds/195m). This incredible yarn has lots of beautiful colours to choose from, in both solids and tweeds!

GAUGE
Aim for 12sts = 4”/10cm when you do your test swatch in stockinette, using 10mm/US15 needles.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The cowl is knit flat and then, after binding off, ends are joined with some simple sewing to form a closed loop. To finish, 3 buttons are sewn on, no buttonholes required!

DIMENSIONS
11inches / 28 cm wide (after blocking) and approximately 32 inches / 81 cm in circumference after joining ends with slight overlap.

SKILLS USED
Knit, purl, yarn overs, knit 2 together, basic sewing skills.
