This checker pattern reminds me of the yellow taxi cabs in New York City but the natural colors of the wool bring this design into the countryside for a quick knit that is the best of all worlds.

The cap provides a great canvas for learning to knit in the round with colorwork. Because the pattern is so simple, it can be memorized quickly and because you only knit two colors in a row and two stitches of each color at a time, you can concentrate on holding the yarns and getting an even tension without constantly looking at a chart.

For experienced knitters, this is a relaxing project that is perfect for last minute gift knitting.

Fits heads up to 21” (54cm) in circumference.

Ross Farms works hard to make you amazing wool products from their flock of Heritage and Rare Sheep.

Yarns are for sale in their Etsy store and at various sheep and wool festivals throughout the year.
