Its spring, and I find myself boundlessly, overwhelmingly…cheerful. For no reason, for every reason: longer days, warm breezes, young green sprouts and tendrils, crocus and early violets; I am constantly cheerful. So I must make a cheerful shawl, with the happy pastel colors of spring. I chose two easy stitch patterns I especially enjoy knitting, and the shawl flew from the needles.
Cheerful Shawl is crescent shaped, beginning at top center back and worked down and outward. A center panel echoes the stitch pattern. The shawl is appropriate for solid or tonal yarns, and for handpainted yarns with similar color values.
