This is #3 in the Series of No Face Native American Dolls. The Cherokee No Face Doll is wearing the Official Cherokee Tear Dress of the Western Band of Cherokee in Oklahoma. The correct pronunciation for the dress is like “rip and tear”. That’s how the dress got the name! The Cherokee women would rip and tear the fabric to make these dresses! This pattern includes the Doll, Hair, Cherokee Tear Dress, Concho Belt, Necklace and Earrings. Here’s a Link to the Origin of the Cherokee Tear Dress: http://www.weeyasmith.com/uploads/7/6/0/2/7602331/the_che... _tear_dress_facts.pdf

Supplies: scissors, tapestry needle, stitch marker, fiber-fil, Three 3/8” buttons, 6/0 beads for necklace, needle for beading, thread, hook & eyes

The body of the doll and her hair are made with Red Heart Super Saver Solids. Her dress is made with Knit Picks Brava Sport Yarn. You can use any Sport weight yarn or #2 yarn for her dress. (I tried worsted weight yarn for her dress and it was to thick)
