This comfortably oversized coat, designed to be knit in either Hayfield Bonus Aran Tweed or Bonus Aran, is worked in one piece to the armholes before separating into 3 sections -- back, right front, and left front. The raglan sleeves are knit flat and seamed to the body. A thin shawl collar along the curved v-neck matches the cuffs and hems in moss stitch. The chevron stitch pattern is offered in both written and chart forms.

TENSION

  • Moss stitch (UK term) = Seed stitch (USA term)
  • 18 sts and 24 rows to 10cm, (4in) over stocking stitch on 5mm needles or the size required to give correct tension.
Check your tension - if less stitches use a thinner needle, if more use a thicker needle.
