These cozy mittens feature the chevron pattern, which is a sequence of zig zagged lines. The cuff features a button tab, which extends from the wrist. These can also be made with a regular mitten cuff.

With your main color (A) beginning with the cuff, you work in the back loops in rows; continuing on with the base of the hand, where the chevron design begins; working upward to the very top of the mitten. The thumb is attached at the end.

**Skill Level: Intermediate

**Materials:

• Worsted Weight Yarn, Red Heart Super Saver (3.5 oz/100 g, 190 yd (174m) Colors used in pattern-
Color A: Tan
Color B: Mid Brown
Color C: Silver
One ball of each color will make several mittens.
• Crochet Hook: 3.75mm - F/5 or size to achieve gauge.
• Four 20mm buttons
• Yarn Needle

**Gauge: 18 sc and 18 rows = 4 inch square.

**Size: Women’s Average Hand

**Finished Measurements: Width 3.75-4”; Length 9”, Cuff Length 3” (not stretched)

**Stitches Used: Ch=Chain; Sl St=Slip Stitch; Sc=Single Crochet; Hdc=Half Double Crochet; Dc=Double Crochet; sc2tog=Single crochet nest 2 stitches together to decrease
