Description: Easy enough for beginners, this 72” x 30” shawl is knitted on US# 11 to 13 (8-9 mm) needles from the top center to the hem. Garter stitch alternates with stockinette at 2.5 to 3 stitches per inch. Optional sawtooth edging may be knitted as you bind off the hem.

Suggested Yarns: Requires 350 to 375 yards. Shown in Cotton Bouclé knitted on US# 11 (8 mm) needles. Other suitable yarns include mohair or any other yarn that knits to gauge. Another option is stranding several smaller gauge yarns together.
