I love a quiet evening Chez moi!
This most often means a yoga-session, knitting, reading… and wrapping up into a cozy cardigan.
Here’s a new one to cherish.

“Chez moi” is designed to suit new and more established knitters. The design is simple and the fit is comfortable.
I focused on giving it a great fit around the sleeves and shoulders.
The construction is body worked bottom-up, sleeves top-down.
The sleeve-caps are created by using short-rows.
The button-bands are integrated in the knitting.
Joining the button-band to the neck-band could be worked using one of two methods, either by seaming or by grafting.

Sizes
Finished chest measurements, when buttoned and worked at gauge: 36/38/40/42/43.75/45.75/47.75/51.5/55.5/59.5” The sample is worked in size 2, with a positive ease of 15 cm/6”. The cardigan is supposed to be a bit over-sized, for maximum cosiness.
I recommend 10 – 20 cm/4 – 8” of positive ease.

Materials
Yarn: I used 2 strands of yarn, held together. Yarn 1: Håndvärksgarn from Hjelholts Uldspinneri/shade 28. This Aran weight yarn comes in skeins of 100 gr/3.53 oz and 200 m/216 yards. You will need approximately 4/4/5/5/6/6/7/7/8/8 skeins of this yarn.
Yarn 2: Tynn Silk Mohair from Sandnes Garn/shade Ekollon. This lace weight yarn comes in balls of 25 gr/0.88 oz and 212 m/236 yards. You will need approximately 4/4/5/5/6/6/7/7/8/8 balls of this yarn.
I found that, even if the yardage is a bit longer on the lace yarn, I used 1 skein of Aran for every ball of lace. Please note: you may even work this cardigan in one strand of worsted weight yarn that works up to gauge.
Needles size 3.5 mm/US4 for the 1x1 ribbing,
size 4.5 mm/US7 for the stockinette.

Gauge
