Make yourself some colorful Easter eggs to decorate your house, go egg hunting with your toddlers or make a colorful basketful to give as a gift. Or use a white or brown yarn for a more realistic-looking play food.

Size
About 6.5 cm (2 1/2”) tall and 4.5 cm (1 3/4”) wide, when crocheted with fingering weight cotton yarn and a 1.75 mm crochet hook.

Skills required

You will need

  • Yarn. I used Madame Tricote Paris ‘Camilla’, a fingering weight 100% cotton yarn, 125 m / 50 g (136 yds / 50 g) / 14 wpi / 1: super fine. You will need about 8 g of yarn for each egg.
  • 1,75 - 2,25 mm crochet hook or according to the yarn.
  • Polyester fiberfill, wool, wadding etc. for stuffing.
  • Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker.
