The Children under the Cabbage Hat is designed to look like a variety of cabbage known in Italy as the Roman Cabbage, a result best achieved with bottle and light green bulky weight yarns.

The hat is worked in the round using Magic Loop method and it is knit from bottom up and inside out. Bottle green hem is worked in rib 1x1 and light green pointy body is worked in Raspberry (otherwise called Blueberry) stitch over a multiple of 4 stitches and across 4 rounds.
