This adorable textured jacket is knitted using two strands of DK yarn held double. It features raglan sleeves, toggle fastenings and a large hood. The textured fabric adds interest to both the knitting and the finished garment. Your little ones will look and feel warm and cosy in this thick woolen jacket!

Measurements:

finished garment is 74 cm / 29” around the chest and
34 cm / 13.5” from back of neck to hem

Yarn:

6 balls x 50 g of any Blacker Yarns Shetland DK

as yarn is held doubled throughout - it could also be substituted for 330 m / 357 yds of chunky yarn.

Gauge:

13 sts x 20 rows = 10 cm / 4” in pattern stitch with yarn held double

Needles:

5.5 mm / US 9 - straight knitting needles

Always remember to use needles which result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Notions:

darning needle and 5 toggles or large buttons

Garment is worked flat, in sections and then seamed together.
