Child's Octopus Mittens

22 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch, in stranded colorwork
US 6 - 4.0 mm
US 5 - 3.75 mm
to fit ~4-year-old child (see below for measurements)

Child-sized mittens knitted in stranded colorwork. The fronts depict a friendly octopus while the palms are patterned to suggest the rows of suckers which line the underside of an octopus’ arms. The cuffs are knitted extra-long in corrugated ribbing, to keep little wrists toasty. One size, to fit a 4 year old child.

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
• Palm circumference: 5.75”/14.6cm
• Length, base of palm to top of mitten: 4.75”/12.1cm
• Total length: 7”/17.8cm
