When friends went on vacation to Africa, they Emailed me beautiful photos of lions, which were the inspiration for my Child’s Snazzy Sweater and Toy Lion set (also please see my Lion Dog Sweater!)

The child’s sweater is an easy knit for the Advanced Beginner or Intermediate knitter. The striped pattern is given texture by the easy-to-make bobbles. I love bobbles but when made in the usual way, I think they can be a lot of work. I prefer an easier method of making bobbles, which is used in this design.

The lion is wearing a matching sweater and boasts a full and colorful mane. He’s knit flat, then seamed in the back. He’s an easy and fast knit.

If you think your child, grandchild or any child you know would be happy to wear a snazzy sweater and cuddle a soft lion with a matching sweater, I hope you’ll consider my design. I had a lot of fun designing and knitting up the set and I think you will enjoy working on the project.

As with all my designs, I’m available to assist if you have any questions. Just ask and I’ll be happy to help! I want you to have a fun knitting experience and end up with a fabulous result.
