Thick Aran sweaters are just not always practical here in the Southern United States. I love them, but most cold winter days, it’s still just too warm when I enter a building to be wearing one. That said, very often scarves slip or miss a spot where the jacket closes, cowls sometimes drape too much to be effective… Oh, the dilemma!
Enter this little one skein project. It’s a hybrid of a dickey and a cowl, buttons like a neck warmer and looks just like an intricate styled Aran sweater when under a buttoned or zipped jacket. It’s a little bit silly and completely practical. It looks daunting, but (I hope) you should find it not too hard.
