‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse…The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there…As I drew in my head and was turning around, down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound…Clement C. Moore

I’ve always loved that poem and when I designed these stockings the boucle top looked like snow on a chimney to me!
This stocking is knit top-down from cuff to toe using circular needles. It has a slipped stitch pattern and a star toe! Two big pom poms complete the look! I used 1 skein of the Sublime Woolly Merino and 3 hanks of Cascade 220 with plenty of leftovers to knit another stocking.

Thanks for looking at my pattern.

Must knit now,
