These wondrous beings are one of our closest relatives, sharing an estimated 98% of their genes with humans.

Chimpanzee’s body, legs and head are worked all in one piece. The arms are worked separately and joined to the body at the shoulder area by means of a large French knot, thereby allowing for movement and flexibility.

Your chimpanzee will be about 13” tall and 6” wide when finished, but watch out - he’ll be ready to play!

Learn more about this wonderful animal and 24 others when you read the pages of a naturalist as she travels the world, documenting the animals she sees, and designing knitting patterns for each one. This book was a collaboration with my children who did the artwork.
