The Chine Cosy is a beautifully versatile addition to your wardrobe. Can be worn over the shoulders as a shawlette, pinned with a shawl pin in a variety of ways, wrapped around the neck once, twice or more as a thick neck warmer or left to dangle long and fashionably as a funky scarf….

Materials Required:
400g of DK/ Light Worsted Weight Yarn. Example knitted using Top Value Tweed by James C Brett in shade F12 (100g = 290 metres/318 yards).
Size 3.50mm circular needle or pair of 3.50mm straight needles as per your preference.

Finished Size/Gauge:
Gauge is not critical on this garment.
Example shown is 65 inches x 16 inches (163 cms x 41 cms) approx.

Method:
The Chine is knitted from side to side, all in one piece, in squishy garter stitch with some simple short rows within the lacy border (no wrapping necessary). It is simple to memorise and makes a great piece to work on when on your travels.
