Chloe is a lovely versatile design that can give so many different looks from the one pattern, and without any complicated calculations, just by changing the yarn and needle sizes. Choose long or short sleeves, variegated or plain yarn and matching or contrasting bandings and you can achieve many different garments. Because of the construction of Chloe, it can also be made longer and worn as a dress or shorter and made into a bolero style jacket. Looks good buttoned up as a tunic over jeans or as a cardigan over a cotton summer frock. The pretty lace pattern isn’t too lacy and is very simple to work without being boring. A softly curled cuff and slightly flared hem add a stylish touch that means it is also flattering and a pleasure to wear.

Finished Sizes:
Sizes given are for the two examples pictured. Can be made larger by using Aran/worsted Weight Yarn with 6.00mm needles, or smaller with 3 ply/Fingering Weight Yarn and 3.00mm needles, a swatch test is advised.

Small Size Approx age: 2-5yrs (positive ease for youngest, more fitted for older)

Method:
The main body of Chloe is made from the top down in rows, working the fronts and back together at the same time. This allows the length to be adjusted to any size you require. The sleeves are then knitted in the round onto the body of the jacket, using the magic circle method. Because the sleeves are worked from shoulder to cuff, they can again be made to custom fit.
Stitches are picked up along the fronts individually, and the button and buttonhole band are worked in rows. More stitches are picked up around the neckline and also worked in rows with the addition of one more buttonhole at the front. Loose ends are woven in and buttons are attached. (This is the only sewing required.)

8 x Buttons.

Large eyed wool needle for sewing in ends.
