This pattern is a crocheted version of a traditional chocolate Easter bunny—but this one is calorie and guilt-free.

The bunny is worked in the round from the bottom up to the tip of the ear in single crochet (sc) stitches and then is stuffed with polyfiberfil. A separate crocheted base is stitched into place on the bottom which allows the bunny to stand.

This bunny can become a family tradition and familiar “friend” as an addition to children’s Easter baskets or in Easter decor for years to come. Because of its longevity and durability, it is a good idea to crochet the bunny using acrylic yarn so that it can be machine washed.

In addition to the polyfiberfil, the only other extras needed are: buttons for eyes (with matching embroidery thread to stitch them in place) and a strand of ribbon to tie for a bow at the neck.
