6/25/12: After much thought, I’ve decided to pull this pattern from sale until I’m able to re-write and re-tech edit it. It was the first pattern I had ever written, and it’s definitely time to improve on it! Please feel free to leave a comment if you’re interested, and I’ll get back to you as soon as the pattern is ready. Thank you for your support!

Thanks to everyone who has bought the pattern to contribute to Red Cross NZ for Earthquake Relief. Through your efforts, we’ve raised $803.20 for efforts in Christchurch! While the donation period for the shawl is now over, you can still donate through Red Cross NZ.

A delicate, curving lace designed after a day spent in the museums and botanical gardens of Christchurch, New Zealand; it was inspired by the gentle arcs of hand-carved spearheads and the quiet eddies of windblown leaves.

This shawl can be knit in a variety of yarns, and is easily customizable to different sizes. Requires basic knowledge of increases, decreases, short rows, kitchener stitch, and blocking.

Pattern includes charts and some written instructions; both the main body of the shawl and the borders are charts only.
