“Why wear one string when you can wear two.”
― Coco Chanel, on pearls, French Fashion Designer

In the spirit of Coco Chanel, I have added this pearl bearing cowl to the original Christina Hat. The pearl details on this easy to knit ribbed cowl add just enough class to put it into the category of another sophisticated piece to finish off this coordinated set. The cowl includes an optional eyelet stacked

PATERN NOTES: This is a checklist pattern, each round is written out for easier tracking – however, this makes the pattern significantly longer – check to see the pages you want to print before starting. For your reference, beads and eyelets are placed every 8 rounds.

SIZES: 1, 2, 3

Samples were knit in Chelsea Yarns DK weight (225 yards/205 m; 100% superwash merino) AND Chelsea Yarns Luxe mohair (459 yards/419 m; 72% kid mohair/28% silk) HELD DOUBLE using colorway: Pink Peony.

Sample size 1 weighed 85 grams, and included a longer I-cord for making a bow, (45 beads weighing additional 8 g) using 192 yards of each yarn.

Sample Size 3 weighed 95 grams and included a shorter I-cord for an overhand knot, (51 beads weighing additional 12 g) using 214 yards of each yarn.

NOTIONS: 45 (48, 51)- size 8 mm beads, Stitch marker (extra for marking st reps – optional), Superfloss, tapestry needle

Note: This pattern uses the Superfloss method for placing beads, but you may use a traditional crochet hook or pre-strung bead method if you prefer.
