Move over, Elf on a Shelf because The Grinch is here for Christmas mischief!

Got a friend who hates Christmas? (Hello retail workers, am I right?) Show how much you care and crochet them this amigurumi Grinch. Inspired by Dr Suess’ “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas”, this little guy measures about 25cm tall when worked in 4ply yarn. You can make him bigger by using a heavier weight yarn. It’s worked from the top down, so there’s no sewing! (Except for the face.) This crochet pattern requires intermediate skills and is written in US terminology. Using basic wiring, The Grinch is poseable which makes it perfect for catching him in the middle of all sorts of dastardly acts.

You need very little in the way of materials:
Lime Green yarn
Dark Green yarn
White yarn (or white fluffy yarn if you don’t like loop stitch)
Red yarn
Safety eyes
Polyester fill
Garden wire

I have written detailed and comprehensive instructions with lots of photos. The actual pattern itself is only 8 pages long but the entire download is 17 pages long, as I have included a text-only version of the pattern in a large, dyslexic friendly font. So, it’s perfect for people with visual impairments, dyslexia or those who simply prefer a black and white pattern, in a larger font! Inclusivity! Yay!

Because this is a digital download, please be aware I can’t offer refunds - but I am very approachable and will do my best to help you if you get stuck at any point. Just message me here or, even better, through my Facebook page, Hook Yarn and Stitch.

Happy hooking!
