Difficulty Level: Intermediate, knitter should be familiar with working in the round on DPNs, working from charts and with two colour stranded knitting.

Skills Required: Knitting in the round, stranded knitting, increases and decreases, reading charts.

Materials

Yarn: Leftover DK weight yarn, although light worsted, or fingering weight held double would also work.

Shown in Vivid Yarn Studio, Signature DK (75% Merino, 25% Nylon, 246 yards in 100 g),colourways are Fawn (MC) and Bronze (CC).

20g of each colour is sufficient to produce all three ornaments.

Needles: set of 4, 3.25 mm (US size 3) double pointed needles.

Notions: Darning needle for weaving in ends. Cardboard circle cut according to pattern diagram. Either 3 shank buttons 1.5 inch in diameter, or 3 small cardboard circles, cut according to pattern and 3 small paperclips. Stuffing of your choice, polyfil was used for samples.

Gauge: 7.5 stitches to 1 inch, and 7 rows to 1 inch. Fluctuations in gauge will vary resultant ornament size, which may require cardboard circles be cut slightly smaller or larger. More important is that a tight gauge is achieved to prevent stuffing showing through knitted fabric.

Size information:
Finished ornaments are approximately 4 inches tall.
